This article is about the bridal party who's limo caught on fire. I was extremely intrigued by this article because my thoughts were "seriously? What are the chances."
After reading this article, what do you think really happened?
I think it’s unrealistic that he didn’t understand them the first time they asked to pull over, and that he didn’t see or smell any smoke. I understand that the partition was up but if there was a fire large enough to kill people he would have smelled smoke from the front seat. I don’t like how this article focuses so much on the fact that there was one more passenger then there was supposed to be. I really don’t think that would make the difference. Overall I would really like to know how this fire started, and I think it’s extremely sad for the family of the bride who died before her wedding day.
ReplyDeleteIt’s really weird how the driver did not understand anything the passengers were saying. These occurrences are realistic and could happen to anyone. I’m pretty sure that the driver didn’t hear anything because the partition was down and the driver probably thought that the passengers were just having fun. What also amazes me is how the car didn’t blow up. If the car was on fire and there was smoke, wouldn’t the car blow up like a movie stunt? After thinking it out, I think this horrible accident occurred innately. I don’t think anyone tried to pull this off, more than likely the passengers were smoking and weren’t paying any attention. The passengers should have been more precautious and should have at least had the partition down when going to the bridal party. If the partition was down, the driver could have saved innocent lives.
ReplyDeleteThis event is truly devastating. Not only did the girls that died lose their lives filled with the potential of getting married and pursuing various careers, but also because those that survived will never be able to forget that horrible night. They are forever emotionally scarred now because of it and that is so saddening. I’m not sure what could have specifically started the fire; however the fact that the man could hear the word smoke and wasn’t at all concerned is a little surprising. Though he was most likely concerned about the company’s policies and maintaining his job, it’s interesting that he didn’t respond to hearing the word smoke being yelled, especially because fire extinguishers are not supplied inside of limos. That being said, I believe that more precautions need to be taken in maintaining vehicles like limos. There needs to be more preparation in the supplies provided in them and they need to be more cared for so as to avoid catastrophic events such as this one.
